We had a really fun tasting at this charming family-run winery. The owner helped us in fluent German which was much appreciated. They have a diverse selection of wines, and we all found some we loved. Afterwards we were given some great restaurant recommendations. Highly recommended!

Tolle Weine, tolles Erlebnis. 😊

Spectacular! Family run vineyard and winery since 1522 - over 450 years in the same family!! Taste their line of Alsace wines and you'll learn why. Without doubt, this was the most enjoyable stop on the wine trail. Though not the flashiest stop on our tour, it was the most pleasant and informative, and gave us a real understanding of how difficult it is to produce great wines. Christoph, the youngest of the 6 generations of Mosbachs - hosted our tasting and tour. He could not have been more welcoming, pleasant and informative. We met his uncle, though our French and his English language skills presented a challenge. Christoph provided a full tasting array, along with a brief tour of their winery operation. Very down to earth, hard workers, the Mosbachs have immense pride and dedication to their vineyards and winery. Despite having been decimated from government lockdowns during COVID, they hunkered down and kept going and continue to produce a terrific wine product. We look forward to going back for a vineyard tour when we next visit the Alsace region. We hope Mosbach can get broader US distribution (aside from Well Crafted Beverage Co in Manassas, VA) GREAT stop!
